Job summary

Coulson Aviation is seeking a Purchaser to join our Port Alberni Purchasing team. This full-time onsite role offers a rewarding long-term career close to home while supporting our growing operations.

You will lead procurement projects, coordinate with vendors and teams, and ensure on-time delivery of goods. Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 2-3 years of purchasing experience.
• Aviation industry experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to change.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement projects in compliance with Supply Chain processes and reporting requirements.
• Provide procurement support and identify process improvements.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, customers, and transport providers to ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate shipment tracking information to departments and external locations.
• Maintain purchasing requirements in ERP system Corridor.
• Support Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events with rotation-based phone coverage.
• Investigate and resolve purchasing issues with Purchasing Manager.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure information flow across the supply chain.

As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a Purchaser to join our Purchasing team in Port Alberni. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Lead procurement projects while ensuring compliance with established Supply Chain processes, procedures, and reporting requirements.
• Provide procurement support and identify opportunities for improvement in the purchasing processes across the company.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, customers, raw material suppliers, transportation service providers, and work closely with Supply Chain teams to ensure that all products and materials are being delivered as planned and on time.
• Support all purchasing activities by communicating inbound and outbound shipment tracking information to various departments and external locations.
• Ensure all purchasing requirements are accurately maintained in our ERP system (Corridor).
• Support Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events, including rotation based AOG phone coverage.
• Investigate and resolve purchasing issues in collaboration with the Purchasing Manager.
• Work with various departments to ensure steady flow of information throughout our supply chain.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• High School Diploma (required).
• 2-3 years of purchasing experience.
• Any aviation industry experience (preferred).
• A valid driver’s licence.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to change.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
