Job summary

Coulson Aviation Inc. in Port Alberni, BC, seeks a dependable Crib Attendant to keep our hangar organized and stock-controlled on a full-time, onsite basis.

You will issue tools and materials, maintain inventory records, and support safe operations in an aviation environment, with opportunities to contribute to global wildfire response efforts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a well-organized tool crib, hangar, and related areas to support safe, efficient operations.
• Issue tools, equipment, and consumables to staff and record movements to prevent loss.
• Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Control, store, and maintain tools per schedules and procedures.
• Monitor access to the tool crib and ensure security of tools and inventory.
• Maintain key-control records for company vehicles and ground support equipment.
• Restock safety supplies such as earplugs and safety glasses.
• Monitor flammable-material cabinets and identify expired items.
• Transport time-sensitive aircraft parts as a courier during aircraft on ground situations.

As Coulson Aviation continues to grow, we are looking for a dependable and organized Crib Attendant to join our team in Port Alberni, BC. This full-time, onsite position plays an important role in keeping our hangar operating efficiently by ensuring tools, equipment, and consumables are properly controlled and readily available.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Maintain an organized tool crib, hangar, and surrounding work areas to support safe and efficient operations.
• Issue tools, equipment, and consumable materials to employees and accurately record their movement to prevent loss.
• Monitor consumable inventory levels, restock supplies, and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Ensure tools are properly controlled, stored, and maintained according to established schedules and procedures.
• Monitor access to the tool crib and help maintain the security of tools, equipment, and inventory.
• Maintain key-control records for company vehicles and ground support equipment.
• Restock safety supplies, including earplugs, safety glasses, and other personal protective equipment.
• Monitor inventory stored in flammable-material cabinets and identify expired or soon-to-expire products.
• Transport time-sensitive aircraft parts as a courier during Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a tool crib, inventory, warehouse, stores, or similar environment is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with inventory-control and record-keeping practices.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory-tracking systems.
• Physical ability to lift and carry materials, remain standing for extended periods, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees across the organization.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• A safety-focused and dependable approach to work.
• Familiarity with aviation terminology, procedures, or regulatory requirements is considered an asset but is not required.
