Coulson Aviation in Port Alberni is seeking a Purchaser to join our Purchasing team onsite. This full-time role builds a rewarding long-term career close to home while supporting our global wildfire response operations.

You will lead procurement activities, maintain purchasing records in Corridor ERP, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, and help improve purchasing processes. A High School Diploma and 2–3 years of buying experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 2-3 years of purchasing experience.
• Aviation industry experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s licence.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to change.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement projects while ensuring compliance with established Supply Chain processes and reporting.
• Provide procurement support and identify opportunities for improvement in purchasing.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, customers, and transport providers; work with Supply Chain teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate shipment tracking information to departments and external locations.
• Maintain purchasing requirements in the Corridor ERP system.
• Support Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events, including rotation-based phone coverage.
• Investigate and resolve purchasing issues with the Purchasing Manager.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure a steady information flow across the supply chain.
