Job summary

Town of Caledon’s Caledon Public Library, Albion-Bolton Branch, invites applications for a Coordinator, Programming and Outreach. You will develop and facilitate diverse library programs, engage with the community, and support outreach initiatives across Caledon.

The role requires a post-graduate degree in Library Studies, at least one year of library experience, programming experience with all ages, and strong MS Office/SharePoint/Symphony ILS skills.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate degree in Library and Information Studies/Science or related field.
• Minimum of one year library experience, preferably in a public library.
• Minimum of one year programming experience with all age groups and two years in a customer-focused setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, schedule and facilitate a wide range of programs system-wide in all formats and for all ages.
• Monitor trends and emerging technologies to keep programming engaging and relevant.
• Establish partnerships with community groups and stakeholders to support programming and outreach.
• Act as Person in Charge when needed and ensure branch operations, staffing and incident reporting are handled.
