Job summary

The Dakota Dunes Thermal Spa is seeking a Public Area Attendant to maintain cleanliness and presentation of all public spaces within our live spa environment. You will clean, sanitize, and restock lounges, washrooms, corridors, and guest-accessible areas while adhering to safety standards.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts is required. Prior experience in housekeeping or hospitality is preferred; WHMIS and CPR certifications are assets.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work respectfully around guests.
• WHMIS certification is preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
• Minimum 19 years of age.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, inspect, and replenish assigned public spaces according to standards.
• Maintain washrooms, vanities, showers, change areas, and other spaces.
• Remove waste, towels, robes, and items promptly and discreetly.
• Complete high-touch cleaning and respond to spills and urgent needs.
• Conduct routine visual inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Support deep cleaning and seasonal cleaning tasks.
• Follow chemical dilution, PPE, infection-control, slip prevention procedures.
• Maintain clean equipment and prevent cross-contamination.

Position Overview

The Public Area Attendant is a member ofthe Housekeeping Department and is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness,sanitation, presentation, and overall appearance of all public andguest-accessible areas within the Dakota Dunes Thermal Spa. This position workscontinuously and discreetly in a live thermal spa environment, including lounges,corridors, change areas, washrooms, entrances, dining-adjacent spaces, andother assigned public spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean,sanitize, inspect, and replenish assigned public spaces according toestablished frequencies and standards.
• Maintainwashrooms, vanities, showers, change-area surfaces, relaxation spaces,corridors, entrances, and other assigned areas.
• Removewaste, recycling, used towels, robes, cups, and other items promptly anddiscreetly.
• Completehigh-touch cleaning and respond to spills, wet floors, debris, and urgentcleaning needs.
• Conduct routinevisual inspections and communicate maintenance, damage, pest, safety, or supplyconcerns.
• Support deepcleaning and seasonal cleaning assignments.
• Followchemical dilution, WHMIS, PPE, infection-control, slip prevention, andoccupational safety procedures.
• Maintainclean equipment and prevent cross-contamination between washrooms, guest areas,and other zones.
• Respectguest privacy in change rooms and other sensitive areas and follow accessprotocols.
• Acknowledgeguests warmly and assist with simple questions or direct them to GuestServices.
• Immediatelycommunicate guest concerns or facility issues to the appropriate team member.

Qualifications

• Previousexperience in housekeeping, hotel, resort, spa, janitorial services, or similarenvironment is considered an asset.
