Job description

We are currently seeking a relief full-time Psychiatric Aide to join our team at the Hillside Centre - Interior Adult Psychiatric Centre in Kamloops, B.C. This relief position is until August 7, 2026, or until the return of the incumbent.

What Will You Work On?

The Psychiatric Aide performs duties related to personal care and emotional support of patients, in accordance with established policies, procedures, standards, and philosophies of Hillside Interior Acute Psychiatric Centre; Tertiary Mental Health and Addictions Services, and Interior Health.

About This Unit

Hillside Centre is a 47-bed inpatient tertiary psychiatric facility in Kamloops, BC, providing specialized treatment for individuals with complex mental health disorders, including adults and the elderly, who require care beyond their local psychiatric systems.

Hillside focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders, as well as psychosocial rehabilitation to promote stabilization and community reintegration. Major treatment programs include:

• Neuropsychiatry
• Adult
• Geriatric
• Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Scheduling Information

Shifts will include rotating days and nights, from 07:00 to 19:00 and 19:00 to 07:00 hours.
