We are currently seeking a relief full-time Psychiatric Aide to join our team at the Hillside Centre - Interior Adult Psychiatric Centre in Kamloops, B.C. This relief position is until August 7, 2026, or the return of the incumbent.

What Will You Work On?

The Psychiatric Aide performs duties related to personal care and emotional support of patients, following established policies, procedures, standards, and philosophies of Hillside Interior Acute Psychiatric Centre; Tertiary Mental Health and Addictions Services, and Interior Health.

About this unit

Hillside Centre is a 47-bed inpatient tertiary psychiatric facility in Kamloops, BC, providing specialized treatment for complex mental health disorders in adults and elderly individuals, serving not only Interior Health but the entire province.

Hillside focuses on diagnosis, treatment of psychiatric disorders, and psychosocial rehabilitation to promote stabilization and reintegration into the community. Major psychiatric treatment programs include :

• Adult
• Geriatric
• Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Scheduling Information :

Shifts will be rotating days and nights, from 07:00 to 19:00 and 19:00 to 07:00 hours.
