Job summary

Government of Nova Scotia is seeking a Provincial Inventory Coordinator at Miller Lake to manage the central and district fleet stores inventories and procurement for the provincial fleet operation. You will oversee SAP-based inventory controls and implement improvements across multiple stores.

The role requires extensive experience in supply chain management, SAP Inventory Management, and strong leadership to coordinate across area managers and district teams, with travel across the province

Qualifications

• Post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business or Supply Chain is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive supply chain experience with scheduling, planning, procurement, inventory and disposal.
• Experience in managing computerized heavy parts inventory and SAP Inventory Management system.

Responsibilities

• Manage fleet parts inventory for Miller Lake stores and division stores across provincial districts.
• Oversee inventory of slow-moving/obsolete stock and decide redistribution or disposition.
• Prepare requisitions for provincial fleet stock for standing offers and contracts.
• Develop policies and controls to ensure a ~ $6.5 million fleet inventory is efficiently managed.
• Provide training on SAP inventory management (Goods Movement, MRP, Physical Inventory Counts).
• Update material requirements planning procedures for all fleet inventories.
