Job summary

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• A valid class 5 driver's license with a satisfactory clean driving abstract.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing education programs.
• Working knowledge of the SAP computer system is preferred.
• Previous experience in a central stores/purchasing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory control preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to travel to multiple Nova Scotia Health facilities within the Western Zone.
• This position requires considerable standing, lifting and moving of heavy/awkward objects.
• French language skills are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Organize, coordinate and control inventories and supplies.
• Enter and pick orders, proper packing, labeling, shrink wrapping, and staging of picked orders for shipping, receiving and storage.
• Receive and put away incoming shipments; deliver supplies to NSH locations; operate warehouse equipment and supply vehicles up to 28 feet long.
• Support cycle counts and special projects; ensure safe and organized work areas.
• Ensure alignment with patient care through Materials Management practices and error awareness.
