Job summary

CIMA+ in Western Canada is expanding its Energy & Resources team and hiring an Intermediate Protection and Control Engineer to shape large-scale electrical projects across Canada.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, design and review protection and control drawings for substations, collaborate with engineers and project managers, and develop comprehensive protection schemes for AC/DC systems while supporting site surveys and installation planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with protection and control systems for substations.
• Ability to prepare diagrams and protection schemes.

Responsibilities

• Design and review the protection and control drawings of substation systems and power systems.
• Collaborate with members of the engineering team as well as project managers from other disciplines.
• Prepare plans, drawings and calculations based on specifications provided.
• Develop electrical Command and Protection systems, including single-line diagrams and protection diagrams.
• Supervise AC/DC station service power system development, including load calculations and distribution diagrams.
• Participate in site surveys and project implementation steps.
