Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a Protection and Control Engineer to join its Western Canada offices. You will work with P&C designers on large electrical energy projects, growing skills in substation and renewable energy applications across Canada.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering teams, site involvement, QA/QC responsibilities, and participation in client reviews while delivering innovative protection solutions.

Qualifications

• University Degree in Electrical engineering.
• Registered or eligible for P.Eng with a Canadian engineering association (e.g., EBGC).
• 6+ years of experience on Protection & Control projects.
• Knowledge of protection and control principles and philosophies.

Responsibilities

• Design and review protection and control drawings for substation and power systems.
• Approve project deliverables including diagrams and layouts.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines and project managers.
• Develop plans, drawings and calculations from specifications.
