Banque Nationale is seeking a Finance Analyst to support critical month-end close operations and improve accounting processes. The role involves collaboration with international teams in a fast-paced setting, with a 12-month mandate and onsite work four days a week in Montreal.

The ideal candidate has a solid accounting background, 2–3 years of reconciliation and GL experience, and proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 2–3 years of experience in financial reconciliation and general ledger accounting.
• CPA designation is a strong asset.
• French and English are required due to cross-border communication.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Support month-end close by preparing journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and FX adjustments.
• Perform account reconciliations and reclassifications to maintain clean ledgers.
• Monitor balances and resolve discrepancies across DFIN Canada entities.
• Ensure integrity of financial records during period-end reporting.
• Collaborate with US-based colleagues and finance partners to maintain smooth workflows.

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end close process by accurately preparing journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and foreign exchange adjustments.
• Perform account reconciliations and process reclassifications to maintain clean general ledgers.
• Monitor financial balances and actively resolve system discrepancies across DFIN Canada entities.
• Ensure the overall integrity and accuracy of financial records during period-end reporting.
• Collaborate closely with US-based colleagues and finance partners to maintain smooth operational workflows.

Qualifications

• Education & Background: Strong background/degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: Experience in financial reconciliation and general ledger accounting required. (2-3Years of experience ).
• Certifications: CPA designation is considered a strong asset.
• Languages: French and English is required as you will be dealing with client, supplier, and colleagues who are outside Quebec.
• Software Knowledge: Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
