Job summary

Homestead in Toronto is seeking a Property Manager Trainee to develop the skills needed to manage residential operations while supervising staff and ensuring day-to-day activities stay on schedule and within budgets.

You will focus on cost management and resident satisfaction, gaining familiarity with property management procedures and on-site operations, including on-call emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree/Diploma from a recognized college or university is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent computer and related technology skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Results oriented
• No experience is required, however, experience in a supervisory or management role is an asset
• Knowledge of Property Management procedures/law is an asset
• Reliable vehicle

Responsibilities

• Manage staff in the performance of their day-to-day responsibilities
• Foster positive working relationships with and among reporting staff
• Responsible for managing NOI and CAPEX budget in your portfolio
• Ensure that your portfolio is operating safely and efficiently
• Ensure that accurate, timely, and complete documentation is maintained
• Analyze monthly financial statements
• Be available Monday to Friday during the day as well as on call for emergency situations
• Other responsibilities as required

Position: Property Manager Trainee
Location: Toronto, ON
Type: Existing vacancy
Hours: Full-time, plus emergency on-call
Compensation Range: $70,000

Overview:

As a Property Manager Trainee at Homestead, you will be developing the skills to manage the residential operation of a portfolio of buildings in your branch.
