You will coordinate maintenance activities, handle administrative duties, and support the Property Manager with daily tasks while adhering to safety protocols and on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance/cleaning experience preferred.
• Obtain a valid First Aid certification, paid for by the Company.
• Ability to lift up to 20 kg (e.g., trash bags, cleaning equipment).
• Reliability, attention to detail, and safe work practices are essential.
• Team Player and strong communication skills are required.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills for resident interactions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleanliness of common areas and prepare apartments for new residents.
• Coordinate work orders and perform minor maintenance (plumbing/electrical).
• Maintain tenant relations, address concerns, and show vacant units.
• Collect and record incoming rents; serve legal documents as needed.
• Maintain safety logs and respond professionally to emergencies.
• Follow an on-call schedule and manage stock records.

Hours: 40 hours per week, plus weekend shifts and on-call

Compensation Range (includes salary, taxable benefit & shift premium): $44,000 - $63,000

Description

As a Building Manager at Homestead, you will oversee the daily operations of the building, ensuring it is well maintained, efficiently managed, and welcoming for residents and visitors. This role involves coordinating maintenance activities, supporting tenant relations, handling administrative duties, and ensuring a welcoming, well managed environment for residents and visitors.

Responsibilities

Cleaning/Maintenance

• Ensure cleanliness of common areas & corridors
• Prepare apartments for new residents
• Facilitate work orders and perform minor maintenance in plumbing & electrical
• Other grounds maintenance

Tenant Relations/Administrative

• Address tenant concerns effectively and promptly
• Maintain positive relations with tenants
• Show vacant apartments to prospective residents
• Collect and record incoming rents
• Serve legal documents as needed
• Rent upcoming suites and complete required documentation

Safety

• Ensure resident safety and security at all times
• Respond appropriately and professionally to emergencies
• Maintain fire safety logs and winter logs

General

• Follow an 'on-call' schedule
• Maintain accurate stock control records
• Other duties as assigned by the Property Manager
