Job summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is seeking a Project Manager – ICI / Institutional Construction in the Greater Toronto Area, ON. You will lead institutional and commercial construction projects from preconstruction through turnover, coordinating budgets, schedules, and procurement.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in ICI construction, strong contract, cost control and stakeholder-management skills, and a background with municipal facilities, schools, healthcare or government projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience within ICI construction.
• Experience with institutional construction projects including municipal facilities, schools, healthcare, etc.
• Strong understanding of contracts, drawings, procurement, scheduling and cost control.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Construction Management, Engineering or related education is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage ICI construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Develop and maintain budgets, schedules, procurement plans and cost forecasts.
• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, architects, engineers and clients.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts and project documentation.
• Lead subcontractor procurement, scope reviews, negotiations and buyout.
• Monitor project costs, schedules, risks and overall progress.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular reporting to senior management and clients.
• Work closely with site teams to resolve construction issues.
• Oversee project closeout, deficiencies, commissioning and turnover.

PROJECT MANAGER – ICI / INSTITUTIONAL CONSTRUCTION

Greater Toronto Area, ON

$130,000 – $160,000 + Benefits | Full-Time

Our client, an established General Contractor and Construction Management firm, is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its growing construction team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background managing institutional and commercial construction projects and will be capable of taking projects from preconstruction and procurement through construction, closeout and turnover.

Responsibilities

• Manage ICI construction projects from preconstruction through completion
• Develop and maintain budgets, schedules, procurement plans and cost forecasts
• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, architects, engineers and clients
