Job summary

Akkodis, on behalf of the Government IT program, seeks a Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives across Saskatchewan ministries from Regina. Qualifications

Client Location: Regina, SK(Onsite Opportunity): 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

Overview

The PDO is seeking one or more Project Managers to lead and deliver strategic IT initiatives across multiple Government of Saskatchewan ministries. Projects may include:

• Business transformation initiatives
• Application development and modernization
• Cloud-based solutions
• Infrastructure and technology upgrades
• Cybersecurity initiatives
• Data and analytics projects
• Digital services supporting government operations and citizen services

The Project Manager will collaborate with executive sponsors, ministry stakeholders, business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and service partners to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans with project leadership teams
• Produce project plans and obtain sponsor approval
• Manage projects through initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/control, and closure
• Ensure adherence to PMI project management best practices
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, risks, issues, and dependencies
• Establish and facilitate governance structures and executive steering committees
• Lead stakeholder engagement and communications
• Lead organizational change management activities
• Deliver projects on time, within budget, and within approved scope
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, policies, and governance requirements
• Monitor and report project performance
• Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks
• Prepare executive reporting and presentations
• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and stakeholder sessions
• Manage third-party vendors and service providers
• Manage change requests and resource planning activities.
