Operations and Major / Core Projects Full Time North Vancouver, BC $120,000 - $160,000 CAD per year

VP Foundations, a Division of Vancouver Pile Driving Ltd., is a new construction company under the Carlson Construction Group. Our specialties include Foundations, Ground Improvement, and Shoring. We bring a legacy of quality and innovation to every project, aiming to deliver exceptional results for both new and existing clients. Our expertise includes Large-Diameter Piles, DTH drilled piles, Screw Piles, Ground Improvement techniques such as Stone Columns, Timber Compaction Piling, and Shoring services like Sheet Piles, Cofferdams, Combi-Walls, and H-Pile Lagging Systems.

Are you an experienced leader passionate about managing intricate construction projects from start to finish? VP Foundation is in search of a proficient Project Manager to take on a vital role in supervising and propelling the success of ground improvement land projects, aiding in our ongoing expansion and innovation within the land piling / ground construction sector.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the daily operations of ground improvement projects with a focus on quality, safety, and timely delivery.
  • Develop and monitor construction schedules to ensure project progress and adherence to timelines.
  • Prepare and negotiate contractual agreements, handling revisions and changes effectively.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to manage schedules and meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain job cost, profit, and forecasting estimates, supporting accounting and management functions.
  • Act as a client liaison, assisting in business development and ensuring efficient resource deployment.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and perform field assignments as needed.
  • Uphold a strong commitment to Health, Safety & Environment standards.

Qualifications / Requirements :

  • University degree or diploma in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Registration with APEGBC or ASTTBC, or eligibility for registration.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience with geotechnical engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in ground improvement techniques, foundations, earth retaining structures, and driven piles.
  • Solid experience in contract management, scheduling, and financial aspects of projects.
  • Familiarity with obtaining government approvals and trade standards.
  • Strong project management, communication, and time management skills.
