Job summary

EllisDon in Fredericton, NB is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction from pre-construction to completion, coordinating design, budget and schedule with the Superintendent.

You will prepare tenders and subcontracts, manage billings and payments, meet with Owners and Architects, monitor cost reports, and lead project meetings to support the team and ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Construction degree/diploma with five years’ PM experience in institutional or commercial builds.
• Strong knowledge of construction scopes, scheduling, project management and contract software.
• Ability to mentor a large team and maintain client relations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction management from pre-construction to completion with the Superintendent.
• Prepare tender packages and trade subcontracts.
• Prepare timely billings and ensure subcontractor payments.
• Meet Owners/Architects professionally and communicate company interests.
• Forecast cost reports and maintain positive cash flow.
• Lead project meetings to monitor progress and team development.
• Submit project reports to Area Manager and escalate risks.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall construction management from pre‑construction to completion including design, coordination, budget, and schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent.
• Prepare tender packages and trade subcontracts.
• Prepare regular, timely and accurate billings for Owners, and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings.
• Meet with Owners and Architects in a professional manner, and communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company.
• Monitor, interpret and forecast a project’s cost reports ensuring they are in line with the estimate and maintain a positive cash flow.
• Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team’s ongoing development and progression.
• Submit project reports to Area Manager and communicate with management about project progress and areas of risk that need to be escalated.

Qualifications

• You have a construction related degree/diploma and five years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience in a Project Manager role in Institutional or Commercial construction.
• You have a working knowledge of construction scopes and activities, scheduling, project management and contract software.
• You can confidently mentor and delegate to a large team while developing and maintaining strong client relations.
• CISD Level II (Secret) clearance or eligibility to obtain is considered an asset.
• The salary range for this position is $80k - $130k.
