Glencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations is seeking a Project Geologist for a full-time role. Reporting to the Senior Geologist, you will lead field programs, supervise exploration activities, and evaluate the mineral potential of properties.

The ideal candidate holds a P.Geo designation with APGO, 6 years in mining/exploration, proficient in CAD and geological modeling, and skilled in Excel/Word. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and contribute to a dynamic team.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Project Geologist to join ourGlencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations.

This is a full-time, permanent, staff position.

Range of Pay: $132,500 to $148,100 (includes annual variable compensation bonus).

This position is being posted to fill an existing vacancy.

Work location is not accessible by public transportation.

Duties and Accountabilities:

Reporting to the Senior Geologist; the successful candidate will accountable for the generation, implementation and supervision of field programs and ensuring that the exploration potential of properties are properly evaluated. The incumbent is also responsible for identifying new project areas, and business opportunities.

Education and Skills

Qualifications for this position include: 6 years of progressive experience in mining/exploration and possessing a Professional Geoscientist designation from the APGO. Working knowledge of computer spreadsheets, word processing (i.e. Excel/Word) and experience with CAD and geological modeling software is essential. Applicant must have the ability to work with minimal supervision and be an effective team member with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
