Job summary

Glencore is seeking a Field Geologist for our Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations. This full-time position focuses on logging, QA/QC, and core handling across surface and underground exploration programs in Sudbury.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of mining/exploration experience and is pursuing APGO Professional Geoscientist designation, with strong communication and teamwork skills to operate with minimal supervision in a collaborative environment.

Job description

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Field Geologist to join our Glencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations.

This is a full-time, permanent, staff position.

Range of Pay: $106,300 to $118,800. (includes annual variable compensation bonus).

This position is being posted to fill an existing vacancy.

Work location is not accessible by public transportation.

Duties and Accountabilities:

Reporting to the Senior Geologist; the successful candidate will be responsible for core logging of the surface/underground exploration programs in Sudbury. Duties include core logistics, logging, validation, QA/QC in adherence to Glencore standards

Education and Skills

The ideal candidate must have 2 years of progressive experience in mining/exploration and working towards a designation as a Professional Geoscientist from the APGO. The successful candidate must have the ability to work with minimal supervision and be an effective team member with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
