Job summary

Plan Group Inc. is seeking a Project Coordinator for Electrical Construction to support Project Managers and Site Supervisors in maintaining schedules and achieving targets on multi-million dollar projects.

The role involves document control, change orders, as-built drawings, close-out documentation, and participation in site meetings. Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project is expected, with Primavera knowledge considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Must have strong attention to detail and ability to interpret construction drawings.
• Electrical engineering post-secondary education required.
• Experience with scheduling tools and construction project coordination is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers and Site Supervisors to develop and maintain the project schedule and achieve targets.
• Maintain and update document control logs and manage change orders, as-builts, and close-out documents.
• Provide status updates, assist with forecasting, cost control and efficiency initiatives.
• Coordinate equipment and material deliveries and oversee sub-trades.
• Attend site meetings and document meeting minutes.
• Maintain records of materials and progress per company guidelines.
• Identify potential problems or schedule delays and escalate as needed.

Project Coordinator, Electrical Construction, you:

• Support Project Managers and Site Supervisors to develop and actively maintain the project schedule and ensure project targets are achieved.
• Maintain and update document control logs and follow through on project management procedures: change orders, as-built drawings, close out documents.
• Provide status updates of work in progress and support with project forecasting, cost control and Plan Group's T.I.M.E. efficiency program.
• Coordinate equipment and material deliveries and provide oversight of sub-trades.
• Participate in site meetings and document meeting minutes.
• Maintain records of all materials used and the progress made on the job in line with company guidelines.
• Proactively identify and bring to management's attention potential problems and/or schedule delays.

Our ideal candidate has:

• You have related Electrical Engineering post-secondary education.
• You have a minimum of one (1) year of related experience; trade experience is a definite asset.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project; experience with scheduling software such as Primavera an asset.
• You have experience analyzing and understanding mechanical construction drawings and experience working on commercial projects.
