Job summary

Plan Group Inc. is seeking a Project Coordinator for mechanical construction to support PMs and site Supervisors on complex projects in Canada. You will help develop and maintain schedules, manage documents, and ensure targets are met.

With 1+ year of related experience and a background in mechanical engineering, you will coordinate equipment and sub-trades, participate in meetings, and keep records aligned with company guidelines. Join a team building landmark projects.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering post-secondary education required.
• Minimum of one year related experience; trade experience is an asset.
• Proficient with MS Project; experience with Primavera is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers and Site Supervisors to develop and actively maintain the project schedule and ensure project targets are achieved.
• Maintain and update document control logs and follow through on project management procedures: change orders, as-built drawings, close out documents.
• Provide status updates of work in progress and support with project forecasting, cost control and Plan Group’s T.I.M.E. efficiency program.
• Coordinate equipment and material deliveries and provide oversight of sub-trades.
• Participate in site meetings and document meeting minutes.
• Maintain records of all materials used and the progress made on the job in line with company guidelines.
• Proactively identify and bring to management’s attention potential problems and/or schedule delays.

As a leading mechanical construction contractor we are involved in a number of large scale complex construction projects and are now looking to grow our team.

To truly excel in this role you must have the ability to develop solid relationships and effectively communicate with both internal and external clients to positively influence others and drive for results.

You are comfortable working in a fast paced environment, can proactively multi-task and manage multiple priorities. You exhibit strong leadership skills and have the potential to take the lead on projects, make timely decisions to achieve desired results.

you will be asked to do the following:
