Job summary

Aplin is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support industrial, environmental, and construction projects from planning through completion. You will work with project managers, field teams, clients, contractors and internal staff to coordinate activities and ensure safety, on-time delivery, budget adherence and quality.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering or Environmental Science or related field.
  • 2+ years of project coordination or management in industrial, environmental or construction settings.
  • Experience coordinating field-based projects and working with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and coordinating projects, including scope, schedules, budgets, resources and deliverables.
  • Coordinate labour, equipment, materials and subcontractors.
  • Support project planning and on-site execution.
  • Monitor project progress, costs, quality and schedules, escalating issues and making adjustments.
  • Identify project risks and support resolution to minimize delays.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, permits and project requirements.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, contractors, field teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide regular project updates, reporting and financial tracking to leadership.
  • Monitor quality standards and address deficiencies promptly.
  • Assist with project closeout, documentation and lessons learned.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support industrial, environmental, and construction projects from planning through completion. This role works closely with project managers, field teams, clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to coordinate project activities and help ensure work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

What You Bring
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline
  • 2+ years of project coordination or project management experience in industrial, environmental or construction environments
  • Strong experience coordinating field-based projects
  • Working knowledge of construction, industrial processes, site operations and equipment
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to support multiple projects and field teams simultaneously
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% throughout Manitoba, primarily for day trips with occasional overnight stays
