Position Summary
The Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR) is seeking a Project Coordinator to join the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH) team to provide coordination and administrative support to its foundational and technical Work Streams.
Founded in 2013, GA4GH is a global alliance that unites experts from healthcare, research, patient advocacy, life sciences, and information technology to advance human health through responsible, secure, and voluntary sharing of genomic and health-related data. Learn more at www.ga4gh.org.
The Project Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the operations of GA4GH’s eight technical and policy framing teams (“GA4GH Work Streams”), which drive the development of global standards for data sharing in genomics and health. These include Genomics Knowledge Standards, Large Scale Genomics, Cloud, Data Use and Researcher Identities, Clinical and Phenotypic Data Capture, Discovery, Data Security, and Regulatory and Ethics.
This position involves collaborating with a globally distributed team of experts and stakeholders across academia, healthcare, industry, and non-profit sectors. The successful candidate will join the GA4GH Secretariat and contribute to the smooth coordination of meetings, communications, timelines, and deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives.
This position is temporary, full-time for one-year.
