Job summary

Pomerleau Construction is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Civil Infrastructure team. You will manage multiple activities and deadlines to align client, team, and project needs on large-scale builds—from $1.5 million to over $1 billion.

In this role you’ll support scheduling, coordinate with trade partners and clients, review shop drawings and RFIs, and help prepare project reports, while upholding HS&E standards on-site.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ working experience in the civil construction industry.
• A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering.
• Proven track record of project coordination and teamwork.
• Passion for exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project team with coordination and administrative support.
• Ensure open lines of communication with team, trade partners, consultants and clients.
• Review, interpret and update construction schedules.
• Maintain, review and follow up on shop drawings, RFIs, POs, change notices and completion documents.
• Review and analyze project quotes to obtain best prices.
• Prepare and deliver company-wide project reports for assigned projects.
• Promote safety standards on-site.

As a Project Coordinator working in our Civil Infrastructure team at Pomerleau Construction, you manage several activities and deadlines to gain a clearer picture of client, team and project needs. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will play a crucial role in the successful management of stakeholder communications, ensuring resource availability, and overseeing various administrative tasks.

What You Will Do

• Assist the project team with your keen eye for detail in providing project coordination and administrative support.
• Utilize your passion for client services in ensuring open lines of communication when it comes to our team members, trade partners, consultants and clients.
• Diligently review, interpret and update our construction schedules.
• Utilize your passion for organization through the successful maintenance, review and follow-up of shop drawings, RFI’s, material purchase orders, change notice quotes and project completion documents.
• Meticulously review, collect and analyze project quotes, seeking out the best prices in the market.
• Own the collection and completion of companywide project reports for your assigned projects.
• Be a role model for the application project specific safety standards helping to promote Pomerleau’s HS&E programs, applicable OH&S acts, regulations and codes with all employees and trade partners on-site.

You will have

• 1-3 years’ working experience in the civil construction industry.
• A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.
• A proven track record of project coordination and team collaboration.
• A passion for providing exceptional client service.
