Job summary

Lakeview Electric Ltd in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is seeking an organised, detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Estimator, contractors and vendors to ensure projects run smoothly from planning to completion.

This entry-level role builds construction PM fundamentals, offering growth through hands-on experience with budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of construction processes, safety protocols, and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and execution of projects, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Track project timelines, milestones, and requirements using appropriate methods and software tools.
• Coordinate project lifecycle from planning to completion.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure clarity and resolve issues.
• Track and maintain project documentation including contracts, change orders, POs, and schedules.
• Help manage procurement processes and ensure deliveries align with timelines.
• Monitor progress and report updates to the Project Manager; identify delays or issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and local regulations throughout the project.
• Support budgeting and cost control, tracking expenses and adherence to plans.
• Review shop drawings for client expectations and enter into Procore.

Project Coordinator

We are seeking an organized anddetail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, youwill work closely with the Project Manager, Estimator, contractors, vendors,and other team members to ensure the smooth execution of projects from start tofinish. This position is a great entry level role to learn about constructionPM fundamentals.

What you will be doing:

• Assist in theplanning and execution of projects, ensuring all tasks are completed onschedule and within budget.
• Track projecttimelines, milestones and requirements using the appropriate methods andsoftware tools.
• Coordinateproject life cycle, from the initial planning, bidding, operations, up toproject completion.
• Communicateeffectively with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, andvendors, to ensure clarity and resolve any issues that arise.
• Track andmaintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, T&M, POs,and project schedules.
• Help manageprocurement processes, including ordered materials and ensuring deliveriesalign with the project timeline.
• Monitor projectprogress and report updates to the Project Manager, identifying any potentialdelays or issues.
• Ensure compliancewith safety standards and local regulations throughout the duration of theproject.
• Support theProject Manager in budgeting and cost control, tracking expenses, and ensuringadherence to financial plans.
• Review shopdrawings to ensure compliance and understanding of client’s expectations andenter into Procore.
• Other duties asassigned by the Company.

What you will need to bring to the table:
