Job summary

Davie, Canada's largest shipyard, seeks a Project Control Specialist to integrate cost, schedule and progress data for informed decision-making. You will analyze Earned Value Management metrics, forecast with EAC/ETC, and provide management with data-driven insights and corrective actions.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in project controls in heavy industry, with strong EVM, Oracle ERP and Power BI skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering, construction management, business administration or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in project controls, preferably cost engineering in complex industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management and project performance analysis.
• Experience with project control systems and data/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and data interpretation.
• Fluent in French and English for interactions with suppliers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse project performance using cost, schedule and EVM metrics (CPI, SPI).
• Establish and track project performance indicators, focusing on EVM and productivity.
• Validate data consistency across cost, schedule and progress across systems.
• Contribute to forecasting activities (EAC, ETC) and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Support change control and provide analytical input as required.
• Prepare performance reports highlighting risks, variances and corrective actions.
• Support PCM in project control activities, reporting and analysis.
• Contribute to development and improvement of project control tools and dashboards (e.g., Power BI).
• Collaborate with project team to drive continuous improvement in controls processes.
