Job summary

EllisDon is seeking a Project Controls Manager in Canada to lead cost control, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and change management on major projects. You will implement an EVM-based system, prepare cost reports, and manage progress billings in collaboration with project teams.

The role requires 10+ years in project controls on large-scale construction or industrial ventures, plus a relevant post-secondary degree. The salary ranges from CAD 80,000 to CAD 130,000.

Qualifications

• Lead project forecasting, including Estimate at Completion (EAC), earned value analysis, and variance reporting.
• Implement an Earned Value Management (EVM)-based reporting system for assigned projects to measure actual project performance against a baseline (cost and schedule).
• Responsible for the preparation, submission, and presentation of cost reports and cash flow forecasts to the owner.
• Lead the project change management process, including establishing procedures in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Responsible for creating a WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) in collaboration with Project Managers and technical subject matter experts.
• Establishing and maintaining a CBS (Cost Breakdown Structure) in accordance with contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead project forecasting, including EAC, earned value analysis, and variance reporting, while identifying risks and opportunities affecting project performance.
• Implementing an Earned Value Management (EVM)-based reporting system for assigned projects to measure actual project performance against a baseline (cost and schedule) and effectively communicate results to internal and external stakeholders.
• Responsible for the preparation, submission, and presentation of cost reports and cash flow forecasts to the owner.
• Lead the project change management process, including establishing procedures in accordance with contractual requirements and managing the process throughout the project lifecycle.
• Responsible for the preparation, submission, and approval of progress billings, as well as the timely payment of subcontractor progress billings and vendor invoices.
• Responsible for creating a WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) in collaboration with Project Managers and technical subject matter experts.
