Job summary

Pomerleau in Quebec is seeking a Project Control Specialist to support project teams with analyses, recommendations, and improved methods to boost performance and quality of deliverables.

You will develop and standardize tools, monitor risks, and conduct audits while mentoring coordinators and analysts. Bilingual in French and English is required to liaise with national stakeholders.

Qualifications

• College or university degree in project management, engineering, administration, or a related field.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in project control or a related field.
• Good knowledge of project management principles.
• Knowledge of project management and project control tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Bilingualism (French and English) is required, as the incumbent will draft and review documents in both languages for national projects.
• Occasional travel to project sites and offices across Quebec as needed.

Under the supervision of the Project Control Officer (PCO) or their representative, the incumbent acts as an expert in one or more project control disciplines.

They support project teams through analyses, recommendations, and the development of methods to improve performance, predictability, and the quality of deliverables.

• Participate in the identification, assessment, and monitoring of risks and opportunities.
• Support project teams in addressing complex issues.
• Conduct audits and compliance reviews against established standards.
• Contribute to the training and mentoring of coordinators and analysts.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of departmental practices.
• Monitor best practices and technologies applicable to project control.
