Job summary

Pomerleau seeks a Project Controls professional to support project teams with analyses, recommendations, and methods that improve performance, predictability, and deliverable quality.

Under supervision of the PCO, the incumbent acts as an expert in project control disciplines, coordinating cost, schedule, risks, and changes for national projects. Bilingual in French and English is required, with occasional travel across Quebec.

Qualifications

• Degree in project management, engineering, administration, or related field required.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in project control or related field.
• Bilingualism in French and English is required; will draft/review documents in both languages.

Under the supervision of the Project Control Officer (PCO) or their representative, the incumbent acts as an expert in one or more project control disciplines.

They support project teams through analyses, recommendations, and the development of methods to improve performance, predictability, and the quality of deliverables.

What you will do

• Act as an expert in their project control discipline.
• Perform complex analyses related to costs, schedules, risks, changes, or performance indicators.
• Develop, improve, and standardize management tools, methods, and processes.
• Produce strategic analyses and recommendations for project management.
• Participate in the identification, assessment, and monitoring of risks and opportunities.
• Support project teams in addressing complex issues.
• Conduct audits and compliance reviews against established standards.
• Contribute to the training and mentoring of coordinators and analysts.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of departmental practices.
• Monitor best practices and technologies applicable to project control.

This role could be for you if you have

• College or university degree in project management, engineering, administration, or a related field.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in project control or a related field.
• Good knowledge of project management principles.
• Knowledge of project management and project control tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Bilingualism (French and English) is required, as the incumbent will be responsible for drafting and reviewing documents in both languages and will regularly interact with stakeholders located outside Quebec as part of national projects and initiatives.
• Occasional travel is required to various project sites and offices across Quebec, based on business needs.
