Summary

This position is designed for someone interested in joining the recently formed Precision Medicine Council, which is launching MaineHealth's (MH) new Precision Medicine (PM) program. The Precision Medicine Council focuses on developing initiatives that improve community health through research and education. This Program Manager will work under the supervision of Dr. Anne Breggia, Chair of the PM Council, and will have primary responsibilities including:

  1. Contributing to the development of strategy and vision for MH Precision Medicine
  2. Communicating program objectives, evaluations, and outcomes to MH leadership
  3. Managing operational aspects of the program, including materials development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives
  4. Assisting in developing the MH Precision Medicine Council budget
  5. Seeking outside funding sources with oversight from the Chair and assisting with grant proposals
  6. Collaborating with the MH Philanthropy Office to meet financial goals
  7. Reconciling the monthly program budget with Financial Services
  8. Preparing meeting agendas, materials, minutes, and follow-up notes for PM Council meetings
  9. Tracking and analyzing data from PM Council initiatives
  10. Scheduling stakeholder meetings to meet program goals
  11. Managing administrative operations in conjunction with the Chair
  12. Assisting in staffing evaluations for program expansion
  13. Updating the program website as needed
  14. Preparing the Annual Report for the program
  15. Identifying and developing process improvements
  16. Overseeing regulatory compliance
  17. Preparing quarterly program statistics reports

The position's availability may depend on grant funding. It is an onsite role at our Scarborough, ME location, with occasional remote work opportunities. Please submit both a Resume and Cover Letter for consideration.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  1. Bachelor's degree with three years' experience; Master's preferred
  2. Experience in staff management and administration
  3. Good visual acuity, manual dexterity, math skills, and research acumen
  4. Ability to troubleshoot program or office issues
  5. Strong organizational, personnel management, and communication skills
  6. Knowledge of administrative policies and federal regulations (e.g., DOL, USCIS, healthcare, research)
  7. Proficiency with current technologies and best practices
