Job summary

A leading manufacturer in precision sheet metal products in Metro Vancouver is seeking a Production Worker. The role involves preparing parts for finishing by masking/demasking, hanging parts on the paint line, and packaging them. Candidates should possess good hand-eye coordination, follow instructions, and be capable of lifting parts up to 50 lbs. The position is permanent and offers benefits such as dental care, extended health care, and life insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare parts for Finishing by masking/demasking according to the customers’ requirements.
  • Hang parts on the paint line using the appropriate hangers for each part.
  • Remove parts from the line and stack them to minimize damage to the finish.
  • Package parts correctly according to instructions to minimize damage.
  • Clock in/out of shifts and jobs correctly.
  • Operate job tools and equipment safely.
  • Practice good housekeeping.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
  • Understand and perform tasks according to the Work Center Process.

Skills

Education

Main duties

Masking/Hanging employees are responsible to support the work center by preparing parts to be finished. Mask/damask, hang/remove parts from the paint line. Pack parts in preparation for shipping to the customer.
