Job summary

Wesgar Inc. is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our BC-based metal fabrication team. You will set up and operate CNC press brakes, bend parts, read blueprints, and follow customer specifications.

The role requires over a year of metal fabrication experience, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a strong safety mindset. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are provided with generous vacation and recognition programs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Production and prototype bending of parts as directed.
• Follow work instructions and customer part directions.
• Perform forming, rolling and step bending of metal parts.
• Set up, operate and program CNC press brakes; identify issues and report them.
• Identify opportunities for improvement.
• Operate equipment safely and wear PPE.

An opportunity to join our growing team has become available and we are currently seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator.

Main Job Duties:

• Production and prototype bending of parts as directed
• Follow work instructions and directions as per customer parts
• Perform simple to complex forming, rolling and step bending of metal parts
• Set up, operate and program a variety of small to large CNC press brake correctly, identify machine issues and either for or report them
• Identify opportunities for improvement.
• Operate equipment safety according to their intended use.
• Handle incoming and outgoing parts safety and with care to avoid damage or injury.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE as required.

Requirements:

• High school
• Have over a year’s experience in metal fabrication / cosmetic grinding.

Qualifications and skills:

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Mechanical Aptitude
• A positive attitude and self motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Punctual and reliable
• Good Mechanical Blueprint reading skills
• Good eye hand coordination
• Able to stand for extended period

Pay:CA$19.00-CA$24.00 per hour

Shift Available:

Day shift (6am – 2pm)

Afternoon shift (2pm – 10pm)

Night shift (10pm – 6am)
