Job summary

Wesgar Inc. is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our British Columbia team. You will set up, program, and operate CNC press brakes to produce precision sheet metal parts, following drawings and work instructions.

The role requires over a year of metal fabrication experience, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, accurate blueprint reading, and reliable attendance. Shifts available: day, afternoon and night with benefits after probation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Over 1 year experience in metal fabrication/cosmetic grinding.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Production and prototype bending of parts as directed.
• Follow work instructions and directions per customer parts.
• Perform simple to complex forming, rolling and step bending of metal parts.
• Set up, operate and program CNC press brake correctly, identify machine issues and repair or report them.
• Identify opportunities for improvement.
• Operate equipment safely according to its intended use.
• Handle incoming and outgoing parts safely to avoid damage or injury.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE as required.

An opportunity to join our growing team has become available and we are currently seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator.

Main Job Duties

• Production and prototype bending of parts as directed
• Follow work instructions and directions as per customer parts
• Perform simple to complex forming, rolling and step bending of metal parts
• Set up, operate and program a variety of small to large CNC press brake correctly, identify machine issues and either repair or report them
• Identify opportunities for improvement.
• Operate equipment safety according to their intended use.
• Handle incoming and outgoing parts safety and with care to avoid damage or injury.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE as required.

Requirements

• High school
• Have over a year’s experience in metal fabrication / cosmetic grinding.

• Mechanical Aptitude
• A positive attitude and self motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Punctual and reliable
• Good Mechanical Blueprint reading skills
• Good eye hand coordination
• Able to stand for extended period

Pay

CA$19.00-CA$24.00 per hour

Shift Available

Day shift (6am – 2pm)

Afternoon shift (2pm – 10pm)

Night shift (10pm – 6am)
