Job summary

C.H. Guenther is seeking a Production Technical Lead in Canada to supervise the production line and ensure adherence to GMP, HACCP, and SQF.

You will drive safety, quality, and efficiency by coaching operators and coordinating maintenance, changeovers, and continuous improvement efforts. Responsibilities include planning shifts, developing standard work, leading root-cause problem solving, and ensuring strict compliance with SOPs and food safety policies.

Qualifications

• Trade school degree preferred or high school diploma with industry experience.
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to perform preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment to standard running conditions and address outages with the team.
• Maintain a safe, productive environment and coach operators.
• Develop technicians on systems and equipment; follow centerlining and PMs.
• Plan and execute changeovers with defined tasks per operator.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processes with technicians
• Perform basic breakdown repairs with maintenance support
• Ensure plans for healthy operation; follow PMs and standard work
• Lead equipment ownership to reduce variability and increase efficiency
• Develop Standard Work and work instructions
• Ensure process stability and ownership of area
• Collaborate effectively with others to achieve goals
• Drive continuous improvement and root-cause problem solving
• Adhere to GMP, PPE, SOPs and quality policies
• Participate in Lean and continuous improvement activities
• Empower stop-lines when Food Safety/Quality concerns arise
• Perform other duties as requested
