Job summary

Stampede Culinary Partners in Cambridge, Canada, is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day production activities, ensure safety, quality, and efficiency, and lead a team of production staff. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will coordinate staffing, train personnel, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced food production environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in manufacturing leadership (food industry asset).
• LEAN manufacturing experience is an asset.
• Experience promoting safety culture in high-speed production.
• Strong computer skills including Office suite.
• Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
• Ability to work in a cool environment (2–4 degrees).

Responsibilities

• Supervise, support, and motivate production employees in safety, quality, and productivity.
• Track employee time and attendance and coordinate shift transitions.
• Coordinate with staffing agencies to schedule temporary workers and approve timesheets.
• Provide coaching and feedback, and administer progressive discipline when required.
• Manage manufacturing processes and troubleshoot production issues.
• Coordinate with maintenance for preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Train employees and ensure SOPs are followed and signed off.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment and product quality.
• Monitor health and safety policies and participate in JHSC initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, HACCP, GMP and food safety standards; liaise with CFIA.
