Position: Production Planning Manager

Location: Saint Laurent, Montréal

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Planning Manager to oversee and optimize production scheduling in our food manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will ensure that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and manage detailed production schedules to meet customer demand while minimizing costs and waste.
2. Collaborate with procurement, quality control, warehouse, and production teams to coordinate raw material availability and production capacity.
3. Monitor and adjust schedules in response to supply chain disruptions, equipment issues, or changes in demand.
4. Analyze production data and generate reports to improve forecasting, efficiency, and performance.
5. Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP) and company standards.
6. Work closely with logistics and sales departments to ensure on-time delivery.
7. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy and output.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Food Science, or related field.
2. Proven experience (3–5 years) in production planning within the food industry.
3. Strong understanding of food safety and manufacturing standards.
4. Proficiency in ERP and planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
5. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
6. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
