Job summary

NSG Group in Canada is seeking a skilled manufacturing operator to operate production equipment, monitor quality, and support Lean initiatives on a 12‑hour shift basis.

You will read work instructions and SOPs, perform changeovers and basic troubleshooting, document logs and quality records, and work with Quality, Engineering and Maintenance to resolve issues while maintaining a clean, safe work environment and complying with GMP/ISO standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree, technical certification, or vocational training preferred.
• 3+ years of manufacturing, production, or technical operations experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, SOPs, and production schedules.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using manufacturing systems, data entry systems, or ERP software is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment and production machinery according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Monitor production processes to ensure product quality, efficiency, and compliance with specifications.
• Perform equipment setup, changeovers, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance activities as assigned.
• Accurately complete production documentation, logs, and quality records.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve process or equipment issues.
• Identify and report safety concerns, equipment malfunctions, and quality deviations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with inventory management, material handling, and production line replenishment.
• Participate in continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Adhere to all company safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (12hr shifts).

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation.

• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Ability to perform repetitive movements and work in a manufacturing environment.

• Exposure to machinery, moving equipment, noise, temperature variations, and production materials.
