Job summary

Cenovus Energy in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking an early-career professional to support production accounting, regulatory reporting and production operations. You will help maintain ownership data, assist with month-end processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related discipline.
• 1 year of experience in accounting, finance, energy operations, regulatory reporting, or analytical roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update ownership, DOI, and facility charge configurations in business systems.
• Prepare and validate netback data for oil, gas, and NGL production streams.
• Review facility charge-outs, investigate discrepancies, and support cost reporting.
• Assist with production accounting amendments and data maintenance for accurate reporting and compliance.
• Coordinate month-end activities and regulatory reporting deadlines.
• Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends and inform decisions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve data and reporting inquiries.
