Job summary

EPCOR Technologies Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta, is hiring a Senior Analyst, Regulatory Reporting. The role supports Energy Services' regulatory reporting, including revenue requirements, information requests, and annual Rule 5 reporting. You’ll own models in Workday Adaptive Planning and Office Connect, guiding Finance and Operations in their use.

You will contribute to management reporting, month-/quarter-/year-end activities, and assist in ensuring accuracy and controls across regulatory outputs.

Qualifications

• A degree in Business is required.
• ,
• Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) is required.
• 4+ years accounting experience is required.
• Understanding and ability to apply GAAP/IFRS.
• Knowledge of the electricity industry and regulatory environment.
• Basic understanding of Oracle GL system.
• Advanced modeling skills and knowledge in the use of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven track record for improving process efficiencies and solving problems.
• Analytical skills required to assess reasonability of results.
• Experience providing financial expertise for designing and testing IT systems upgrades.
• Experience with budgeting software (e.g. Workday Adaptive Planning, Office Connect, Oracle Enterprise Performance Management , Hyperion, etc.)
• Experience preparing regulatory cost of services and compliance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to regulatory reporting plans and direction.
• Maintaining cost allocators, DAR and PLS.
• Developing initiatives supporting regulatory reporting.
• Meeting reporting timelines and improving processes.
• Collaborating across teams for high-quality deliverables.
• Ensuring processes meet regulatory requirements and risks.
• Serving as expert for Workday Adaptive Planning and Office Connect.
• Preparing non-energy revenue requirement and regulatory reports.
• Guiding Finance and Operations on using planning tools.
• Leading testing of regulatory models and reports.
• Forecasting and analyzing regulatory calculations for non-energy applications.
• Supporting month-, quarter-, and year-end reporting and reconciliations.
• Other duties and special projects.
