Are you interested in collaborating with the international automotive industry? As a development engineer, you will work directly with leading car manufacturers to develop lightweight control arms in aluminum.

We are looking for a product development engineer to drive product and process development of lightweight aluminum suspension components from idea, concept studies, bidding, qualification and testing to follow-up and improvements in serial deliveries in collaboration with our customers. We are looking for employees who want to be part of our global team of specialists.

Requirements for the position:

1. Good knowledge of solid mechanics and fatigue calculations
2. Experience with FEA tools (Abaqus/FE-Safe)
3. Knowledge of aluminum
4. Experience with CAD tools (NX/Catia)
5. Good practical understanding of the possibilities and limitations of industrialization
6. Good oral and written communication skills in English (working language). It will also be advantageous to master German.
7. Ability to work independently and be proactive
8. Good at organizing your own workday and delivering within agreed deadlines
9. Collaboration and coordination with other sites in the Raufoss Technology group.
10. Travel activity must be expected

Background:

1. MSc, mechanical engineering, or similar, with specialization in product development and mechanics
2. Experience from the automotive industry is an advantage.
