Are you interested in collaborating with the international automotive industry? As a development engineer, you will work directly with leading car manufacturers to develop lightweight control arms in aluminum.

We are looking for a product development engineer to drive product and process development of lightweight aluminum suspension components from idea, concept studies, bidding, qualification and testing to follow-up and improvements in serial deliveries in collaboration with our customers. We are looking for employees who want to be part of our global team of specialists.

Requirements For The Position

• Good knowledge of solid mechanics and fatigue calculations
• Experience with FEA tools (Abaqus/FE-Safe)
• Knowledge of aluminum
• Experience with CAD tools (NX/Catia)
• Good practical understanding of the possibilities and limitations of industrialization
• Good oral and written communication skills in English (working language). It will also be advantageous to master German.
• Ability to work independently and be proactive
• Good at organizing your own workday and delivering within agreed deadlines
• Collaboration and coordination with other sites in the Raufoss Technology group.
• Travel activity must be expected.

Background

• MSc, mechanical engineering, or similar, with specialization in product development and mechanics
• Experience from the automotive industry is an advantage.
