At KOHO, product design is key to the brand identity and product differentiation. As an Intermediate Product Designer, you will be involved in every aspect of the product development process. You will use your skills in UI and UX design, product design, interaction design, visual/audio/motion design, and prototyping to create product experiences that wow and deliver measurable value.
Our ideal candidate has a passion for understanding our users and is an enthusiastic team player who enjoys working closely with other designers, engineers, data analysts, and product managers to build the best banking experience for Canadians. We're looking for strong emerging talent, a positive attitude, and a passion for helping people through smarter designs.
Collaborate with Product Managers to understand and contribute to product strategy and vision
Prepare wireframes, user flows, process flows, sitemaps, and other artifacts to effectively communicate interactions and design ideas
Work within an iterative design process: rapid prototyping, participating in user experience research, incorporating feedback, launching quickly, and testing hypotheses in an agile environment
Measure and analyze the impact of your design decisions using data and user metrics to drive continuous improvement
Work as a part of an end-to-end product development team: collaborating with engineers, understanding technical requirements of what it takes to implement your designs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence aspects of the product from copywriting to lifecycle marketing
Continue to develop your design expertise while learning from senior designers and cross-functional partners
Experienced mobile UI/UX practitioner with 4-5 years of experience working in a product environment
Good communicator — able to present designs and explain the rationale behind design decisions
Knowledgeable in user-centric design principles and processes including web and mobile design standards and best practices
Good eye for UI/UX design with a solid understanding of creating effective user workflows
A collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments and actively seeks input from colleagues
A keen learner who proactively owns their professional development and seeks opportunities to grow their skills and knowledge
Self-directed and comfortable operating in environments with high uncertainty, able to adapt quickly while maintaining thoughtful decision-making processes
Receptive to feedback and able to iterate on designs with a positive attitude
A problem solver who is resourceful in getting things done and contributes positively to team culture
Proficient in Figma, with experience using design software (Adobe CC, etc.)
Experienced with leveraging GenAI tools (such as Claude, Midjourney, ChatGPT) to enhance your design processes
Prepared with a portfolio demonstrating your design abilities and relevant product experiences
Experience with consumer social/financial/B2C product design is a plus
