Job summary

Safeway is seeking motivated All Purpose Clerks for our Terrace store. Full training is provided to help you excel in customer service, stocking, and display maintenance across Grocery and Produce sections.

You will greet customers, assist with fruit and salad prep, and support backroom inventory while contributing to a positive shopping experience. Candidates should be able to learn quickly, work in a fast-paced environment, and have strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with Safeway’s programs.
• Execute production of high quality cut fruit and salad program.
• Stock shelves across Dairy, Frozen, produce and non-perishables.
• Maintain and build merchandise displays in compliance with Safeway programs.
• Rotate and stock product; assist with loading/unloading for sales floor.
• Backroom and inventory management; other duties as assigned by Store Manager.

As a customer yourself, you know how important helpful service is. The impression shoppers get at thefront end of the store is key to building customer loyalty. So too is maintaining a well-stocked store (forboth the Grocery and Produce sections) so that the customer shopping experience is quick, easy andefficient. That is why our All Purpose Clerks play such an important role in the success of our stores. Fulltraining is provided for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Upholds and complies with company procedures, standards and policies in all situations
• Greets customers in a polite and friendly manner
• Demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with Safeway’s programs
• Execute production of high quality cut fruit and salad program
• Stocking product to shelves such as Dairy, Frozen, perishable (produce) and non-perishables
• Maintaining and building merchandise displays in compliance with Safeway programs
• Rotation of product
• Loading and unloading of product for the sales floor
• Backroom and inventory management
• Any other duties as assigned by the Store Manager
