Safeway in Canada is seeking a motivated All Purpose Clerk to support Grocery and Produce sections. The role includes greeting customers, processing payments, stocking shelves, maintaining displays, and assisting with backroom and inventory management.

Full training is provided. Candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, communicate clearly, and demonstrate strong customer service skills. Evening and weekend availability is strongly encouraged.

As a customer yourself, you know how important helpful service is. The impression shoppers get at thefront end of the store is key to building customer loyalty. So too is maintaining a well-stocked store (forboth the Grocery and Produce sections) so that the customer shopping experience is quick, easy andefficient. That is why our All Purpose Clerks play such an important role in the success of our stores. Fulltraining is provided for this position.

Key Responsibilities

Physical Requirements

• Constant lifting of up to 20 pounds
• Constant reaching, gripping
• Constant computer and point of sale system use
• Frequent bending, walking, standing, twisting, pushing or pulling
• Occasional lifting or carrying of up to 20-50 pounds including waist level and low level lifts
• Occasional crouching, kneeling, squatting
