Job summary

Augment Resources is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist – Professional Services to support a major mining expansion project in British Columbia. You will manage end-to-end procurement for engineering, consulting, studies and related services, aligning strategies with project objectives.

Join a dedicated Project Commercial team and work with leadership, technical teams and suppliers to ensure commercial outcomes that support schedule, cost and delivery goals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Finance or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in procurement, contracts, project commercial or supply chain roles.
• Experience supporting major capital mining, resources, energy, infrastructure or construction projects.
• Experience negotiating and administering service contracts.
• Strong understanding of procurement lifecycle activities: sourcing, tendering, evaluation, contract management.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability.
• Advanced negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Experience with ERP/project commercial systems (e.g., SAP, SAP Ariba, Aconex, Contruent).
• Proficiency across Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with service providers to ensure performance expectations are met.
• Identify opportunities to improve value, reduce cost and support project delivery outcomes.
• Understand project stage-gating requirements and execute within these demands.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist – Professional Services to support a major mining expansion project in British Columbia.

Working within a dedicated Project Commercial team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement and contract management of a diverse portfolio of professional service-based contracts; including engineering, consulting, studies, specialist project contractors and logistics, transportation, warehousing & equipment support services.

This is a highly visible role where you will work closely with project leadership, technical teams, logistics specialists, contractors and suppliers to ensure commercial outcomes support project schedule, cost and delivery objectives.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the end-to-end sourcing and contracting of project services packages.
• Developing procurement and contracting strategies aligned with overall project objectives.
• Preparing and issuing RFx documentation for service contracts.
• Managing supplier communications, bid clarifications and commercial evaluations.

About You

Successful candidates will bring:
