Job summary

Augment Resources is seeking a seasoned Procurement Coordinator to support a major mining development project in British Columbia. You will oversee purchase requisitions, vendor onboarding and close collaboration with engineering, operations and finance to ensure timely procurement activities.

Ideal candidates will have a Diploma or degree in Business or Supply Chain, 5+ years in procurement, strong SAP experience and a focus on governance, data quality and stakeholder service.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain roles.
  • Experience creating and managing purchase requisitions in SAP.
  • Understanding of procurement processes, approvals and governance.
  • Vendor onboarding, supplier setup or supplier data experience.
  • Experience on major capital mining projects preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with SAP and MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Primary point of contact for purchase requisition administration and vendor onboarding.
  • Create, review and manage purchase requisitions within SAP.
  • Ensure requisitions have correct coding and documentation before submission.
  • Monitor approval workflows and minimise delays with approvers.
  • Collaborate with Procurement Specialists to support sourcing and PO creation.
  • Support revisions, cancellations and changes to requisitions as needed.
  • Provide status updates on requisition progress and procurement requirements.
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding from initiation to supplier activation.
  • Liaise with Governance teams to support vendor setup requirements.
  • Maintain accurate supplier records and ensure governance compliance.
  • Develop procurement trackers, dashboards and reports.
  • Support DoA and procurement governance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and data quality.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Coordinator to support a major mining development project in British Columbia through the delivery of purchase requisition & vendor management.

Working within a dedicated Project Commercial team, you will be the primary point of contact for purchase requisition administration and vendor onboarding activities, supporting stakeholders across project delivery, engineering, operations, maintenance, finance and procurement functions.

This role is responsible for ensuring requisitions are accurately created, approved and progressed through procurement workflows, while also coordinating the onboarding and activation of new suppliers. You will play a key role in maintaining procurement compliance, supporting governance requirements, improving process efficiency and ensuring stakeholders receive timely support throughout the purchasing lifecycle.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for purchase requisition and vendor onboarding activities.
  • Creating, reviewing and managing purchase requisitions within SAP.
  • Ensuring requisitions contain accurate coding, account assignments, supporting documentation and procurement information prior to submission.
  • Monitoring approval workflows and proactively following up with approvers to minimise delays.Partnering with Procurement Specialists and Buyers to facilitate sourcing activities and purchase order creation.
  • Supporting revisions, amendments, cancellations and changes to requisitions as required.
  • Providing timely status updates and guidance to stakeholders regarding requisition progress and procurement requirements.
  • Coordinating vendor onboarding activities from initiation through approval and supplier activation.
  • Liaising with Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Tax and Data Governance teams to support vendor setup requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate supplier records and ensuring compliance with company governance standards.
  • Monitoring onboarding progress and resolving issues affecting timely vendor activation.
  • Developing and maintaining procurement trackers, dashboards and performance reports.
  • Supporting procurement compliance, governance requirements and Delegation of Authority (DoA) processes.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve procurement workflows, data quality and stakeholder experience.
  • Supporting audit readiness and document retention requirements.
  • Providing guidance and training to stakeholders on requisition and vendor onboarding processes.
About You

Successful candidates will bring:

  • Diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, commercial administration or related business support roles.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and managing purchase requisitions within SAP.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, approval workflows and procurement governance requirements.
  • Experience supporting vendor onboarding, supplier setup or supplier master data activities.
  • Experience supporting major capital projects within mining, resources, industrial, construction or engineering environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency across SAP and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and service delivery standards.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA will be highly regarded.
  • Procurement certifications such as SCMP, PMAC or CPSM are considered advantageous.
