Job summary

Irving Oil is seeking a cooperative education student to assist in day-to-day Supply Management Procurement Excellence activities. You will support sourcing tasks, contract/documentation processes, supplier interactions, and process improvements while building analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

The role offers exposure to core procurement practices and a path to develop in data analysis, spend trending, category analysis, and risk management within a team of about 100

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Business Administration with strong interest in Supply Management and Logistics.
• Must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education and be returning to school.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; ability to work independently and manage time.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing activities, including market research and basic data analysis.
• Request and evaluate supplier quotations to support decision-making.
• Help resolve invoice discrepancies and identify opportunities to improve processes.
• Maintain data, records, and documentation within SharePoint lists and libraries to support operations, reporting, and compliance.
• Maintain supplier compliance data and support follow-up activities.
