Job description

As a Contracts Specialist IT Student, you will support Irving Oil’s Supply Management team in delivering technology contracting solutions and risk mitigation strategies. This role provides hands‑on experience in contract management, project support, and sourcing activities, while acting as a liaison between IT teams and vendors to ensure organizational technology needs are met.

The Supply Management team, based at the Irving Oil Home Office, develops and manages sourcing strategies, negotiates supplier agreements, and supports IT projects through contract oversight and sourcing activities. By ensuring compliance with policies and methodologies, the team helps mitigate risk, identify savings opportunities, and strengthen vendor relationships. Students will gain exposure to contract law, negotiation techniques, and project management fundamentals while contributing to measurable business results.

Responsibilities
