The Procurement Coordinator supports the Procurement Manager by assisting with the procurement and purchasing functions. This role plays a key part in maintaining relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with procurement processes, and supporting project teams throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing procurement tasks, including supporting staff coordination and maintaining accurate supplier records.
  • Help maintain the master subcontractor and supplier list.
  • Communicate regularly with subcontractors and suppliers to support workload and project tracking.
  • Assist in developing and implementing procurement processes and documentation.
  • Support the bid, negotiation, and award processes by preparing documentation and tracking requirements.
  • Collaborate with Estimating and Operations teams to support competitive bid assemblies and proposal documentation.
  • Assist in preparing and issuing subcontracts, tracking the completion of necessary project-specific items.
  • Maintain organized records of insurance certificates, bonds, and other project-related documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in procurement or a related field, preferably within construction or heavy civil industries.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet is an asset.
  • Familiarity with construction documentation and contract management is an asset.
